Ranger and Lady Ranger Golfers Rock at District

Congrats to the Ranger and Lady Ranger Golfers for their outstanding performances in the 23-6A Golf Championship on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The girls earned their 15th consecutive District Championship with their 25 stroke victory over Travis.

Senior Amber Wang led the way with scores of 69-69 (total of 4 under par) and won by 7 strokes.  Junior Beryl Wang finished third overall after shooting scores of 78-75.  Other members of the winning squad (that all played AWESOME) were Kelly Yang, Miriam Dumes, and Michelle Huynh

Also, the Lady Ranger “B” team ended up finishing in 3rd place overall.

They were led by Sophomore Michelle Kung (scores of 76-78) and Emily Burrows (84-81) These two will advance to regionals as individual medalists.

Also on the “B” team and playing great were Kelly Waldheim, Lauren Moorer, and Avery Moorer

On the boys side, the Ranger Golfers played their hearts out, but came up just a bit short, finishing 7 strokes behind Travis.

The Rangers were led by Freshman Andy Yang.  He finished in 2nd overall in the tournament with scores of 71-77.

Senior Andres Marron finished fourth overall with scores of 73-81.  Also on the team and playing great were Junior Zac Smith, Senior Will Murphy, and Junior Garrett Dowell.

Great performances by all…on to Regionals next week!
