Congratulations to the student musicians of the Clements Orchestras who were selected to the All-Region ensembles this weekend. Clements had a record 52 students selected, almost twice as many as the next schools represented, and accounting for 40% of the total region membership! They have worked very hard for this achievement, and all have qualified to continue in the All-State selection process.
Best Wishes to the Clements Chamber Strings this weekend as their recording competes in the state championship for String Orchestras. They created an amazing recording at HBU which will represent them in the Semi-Final and (hopefully) Final rounds this weekend in San Antonio.

The three non-varsity orchestras competed at the “Big D” Classic in Dallas this last weekend, and Sinfonia (our JV orchestra) beat the other varsity groups for Best In Class, and Philharmonic (our 3rd orchestra) won Best In Class against the other JV groups!!!! Camerata (our 4th group) was awarded Outstanding Performance as the only group in their class.
The students were amazing when they cleared Six Flags in the midst of severe storms.
Congratulations to our four Clements Orchestras that performed at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest this past weekend, and all four ensembles received superior ratings, and earned Sweepstakes Awards! The judging panel included several of the top directors around the state, and all had wonderfully complimentary critiques for the students.
Clements will be represented by 10 students at the 2015 TMEA All-State Clinic and Concert in February. These students have been preparing music since last May, and have completed three audition phases in the selection process. As All-State Orchestra members they represent the top 1% of all string players in the state of Texas!!!!
